Memetics

Suppose you're reading a book that claims you're under constant attack by invisible psychic vampires. You feel drowsy and listless, and sense, with some alarm, a malefic presence nearby. You thus conclude the book's thesis is correct -- until you look up, to see that the book itself is sucking your brain through a straw!
War in Heaven is Hell

Fantastic book review, which almost makes me want to find out how painful it is to have one's brain sucked through a straw. It also has the wonderful Metamagical Themas quote of "The self-replicating ideas are conspiring to enslave our minds," which stands in its favour.

Unfortunately I cannot find the book. I suspect 'they' have hidden it.

(I did find an entertaining 'god fight' site though...)

I have a David Icke book you're welcome to borrow. (IIRC it was the first salvo in mine and Tom's present war). It's a fairly good read actually, but I fear for anyone believing it...

BTW, you have actually met the creators of that God Fight site you mentioned. It was made by some of the people at that party in Southampton.

The strange resonance of coincidences like that leave me feeling either that:

a) The world is miniscule
b) The world is huge and this coicidence was created by an infinite improbability drive.
or
c) The higher number of connections between different parts of the world create an intangible attractor for coicidences and serendipity. Yes I am now talking rubbish.

I knew it seemed familiar, but I didn't know how or why...

Odd that.

I'd blame it on the Brighton thing, but this time I can't...
