Gone Site, Gone

There are days when it is obvious I am not a New Media person.

Today is one of them.

I have just realised that I missed the fact that Pavilion Internet are gone.

And they went years ago. They are dead and gone.

Goodness I'm slow.

I knew Pavillion had gone, but I've never heard of Dead.

Dead?

I just meant dead. Like zombies, or zombie monkeys, or pirates who have taken a long walk off a short cliff.

A company called Dead would be cool though (if a bit hard to market)...

I just checked & it seems that Dead Ltd has not been registered. Strange considering that names like Dead Cat Bounce Ltd, Dead Cats Can't Dance Ltd, Dead Pigeon Ltd, Dead Teen Ltd & Dead Wasp Ltd have all been registered.

pavilion were brought by Easynet, and are now Easynet South coast. The servers still hum, and I still for out dial-up prices for my pavilion.co.uk account, while only ever using their POP server - haven't used their dial-up in a long time, but the numbers were still working last time I tried.

It is good to know pavilion still hum in their own special way...

I will miss them though as I have fond memories of the big refund they gave me when I (in a fit of student poverty) moved to freeserve.
