the abyss means...
I have learned the following things in the last week:
1) What I need to do to apply for my Norwegian passport.
2) When people say that they are going outside to make human pyramids, sometimes they mean it.
3) When a man in orange asks you for a lighter, check he is not stood next to a burly policeman dressed in heavy duty defensive gear.
4) People don't always dislike me when I do silly things.
5) When an old lady asks for the way out of the hospital, so she can get back to her home in Rottingdean, check she is not dressed in a nightie and slippers first. Otherwise she will never make it to the outside.
6) Sometimes people do not tell you things for the best of reasons, but it still feels wrong.
7) Being born on the thirteenth floor is not always a bad thing.
8) I love my family.

I thought this was merely a "Girls' Crystal Annual" mythological practice?! It's the sort of thing "Nora and Hetty et al." suggest doing when they're bored. Must be an English thing?boynton on July 27, 2003 05:47 AM
So how can I apply for a Norwegian passport? Or more to the point, how do I get the hell out of this lame country I'm trapped in?

Boynton:
I was under a similar misapprehension until I walked outside and noticed fifteen (majority male) people involved in this particular activity...Bill:
The easiest way would be if you already had citizenship like me... Otherise you would need to apply for that first!joh on July 27, 2003 11:58 PM
