Baby Inking Opinions

I first saw this site a few days ago (via The Presurfer), and was amazed (but not in the good 'Oooh, Ahhh' sense, more of an 'Aaargh, Kill' way). I didn't understand how anyone could do that, or even how anyone could justify doing that to their (as the parent), or someone else's (as the tattooist), children.

I tried to put it out of my mind.

However, this line from the website (in fact, the first line you see) has refused to leave my head.

Welcome to Baby Ink, where we believe that it's never to early to start expressing your unique personality through professional, high quality body art.

I'm sorry. I think they got that wrong. Shouldn't that be the following?

Welcome to Baby Ink, where we believe that it's never to early to start expressing your unique personality through permanently marking your children with it.

Hmm.

It's not often I have a strong opinion about anything, but this has really got me irritated.

It is quite, quite disgusting. But then, parents have been trying to mould their children into models of themselves since time began. Yuck!

Wonder how long it will take for respectable ink slingers to run these freaks out of town? The picture of the little boy in the football jersey crying just infuriates me.

You can just imagine a whole generation of children growing up and saving their money for they day they can finally get their tattoo of LaaLaa removed (or something equally horrible, whatever the current teletubbies / my little pony / care bear fad is).

Nasty thing to leave someone stuck with who wasn't old enough to have a say.

They fuck you up, your Mum and Dad.
It used just be mentally
Although for years
But now it's a permanent tattoo.
