the abyss means...
"It's been a while since I've seen your ultraviolet smile"...
Hmm. No. That's not right. I've never seen your smile.
fanny
Erm. That neither.
Anyway, nice as it is to hear from you again, how about we talk about something more upbeat?
[Edited for everyone's sake!]
Hey! That wasn't upbeat! Try again.

And that's just made me sad. I miss Guybrush. Give me something upbeat and happy and cheerful and bouncy. NOW!

Hmm. That just sounds upbeat.
Actually, I've been quite impressed with the sheer number of cheap'n'cheesy flash pages on this war. At what point does it stop being funny and start being bad taste? Or, do we need the humour?
bloody Wilson
Not much I can say to that.
Hmm. Talking of Wilson's, though, I've just found this: "In 1917, President Woodrow Wilson led a reluctant America out of decades of isolationism into a ghastly and frightening global conflict."
Hah!
"Angels In A Whirlwind"
Heh. I didn't realise that that line was used in a speech by Dubya. Quoting the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, without attributing it, is bad form, isn't it?
(NOTE: This song is one of my collection of songs which use the name 'Johanna'. Please don't presume they are indicative of my taste in music!)
That was interesting. Perhaps too interesting. I suspect we should move on to less-exciting topics...
It's bitterly rustic out.
I'd suggest you come in, only it's bitterly rustic inside as well. Or rather, this claim to be rustic makes me bitter too...
I'm still cold
So you are willing to cope with the disturbing interiors then? Cold or blind. Cold or blind. Tough decision...
Perhaps we need to be distracted?

I really wanted one of those robots when I first saw them a few weeks ago. Then I thought about it.
Perhaps if I get this job...
job?
Not telling. Still trying not to get excited until I know for sure. Excited. Worried my heart will be ripped out if it all goes wrong... Ask me on Saturday.
Hmm. While I am on that thought, I should point out that I probably will not post much this week as things are afoot.
It's make or break week folks.

small aside re "fanny". I too marvel at the associations of "fanny pack" - especially when sold as a "generous fanny pack" (like one I haplessly found on the web recently). At least Aus and Brit English is more in synch, or less 'dodgy'.

I have a suspicion that Australian language (and humour) is a interesting middle-ground between the US and the UK. Best of both worlds really.
You lucky thing.
But the idea of a 'generous fanny pack' is just silly...
