the abyss means...

Where did the time go?
The hours and days were empty,
They expected to be filled.
And yet?
What?
They have flown,
They have been wasted.
Instead of life, love, joy, excitement,
There is a void.
And I cannot find the time to fix it.
Nothing?
A change?
Something is needed,
A link to the past, to the future,
To the energy and hope I once had.
Where is it?

Where has the time gone?
The days and the months were Held.
There were plans, I think.
And yet?
Nothing?
It has blown away,
It has been lost somehow.
There were dreams, hopes, expectations,
There was no motion.
And I cannot see the mistake.
What?
A loss?
Something has been misplaced,
A link to the past, to the future,
To the energy and hope I once had.
Why is it?

Where has it all gone?
